About Fawcett’s

Blaine is originally from a small farming community in rural Manitoba. Blaine’s interest in goldsmithing began when he attended Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary. In 2005 Blaine moved to Halifax and entered the jewellery program at NASCAD. While studying, he was employed by local goldsmith Glenn Fawcett. Fast forward to the present and we find Blaine the sole owner of Fawcett’s.

Blaine has several certifications including

• Gemologist GIA
• Diamond GIA thing
• Diamond Debeers thing
• CAD program blah blah

Most importantly Blaine is a truly friendly human and he’s dedicated to maintaining the high standards of quality and service that Fawcett’s is known for.

Fawcett’s was founded in 1992 by Goldsmith & Designer,  Glenn Fawcett. Mr. Fawcett designed and hand manufactured jewellery for over five decades. Blaine Pengelly joined Glenn as a fellow goldsmith in 2008. Glenn & Blaine worked together until Glenn decided to to retire happily in 2019.

Fawcett’s is a pure custom operation. Designs evolve from collaboration with each client so the piece reflects their personal taste.

Today, we are grateful to find ourselves in the position of serving as goldsmith to families for generations.
