Made-To-Order
How long does it take to design and build a ring?
Our made-to-order pieces are estimated to be completed in approximately 4-6 weeks. If you’re looking for a project to be done sooner, please get in touch with us as we will do our best to accommodate any rush order requests.
Do I need to book an appointment?
Fawcett’s operates on an appointment-only basis, our hours are Tuesday-Friday from 11:00am-6:00pm and Saturday from 11:00am-4:00pm. To book, please email us directly so we can add you to our calendar.
What is the price range?
Typically, our engagement rings range between $3,000-$30,000+ depending on what stone you select.
Our wedding bands range from $500-$5,000+ each, depending on the design, width, finger size, and the types of material or gems used.
What materials do you work with?
Our workshop is set up to work exclusively with gold (10K, 14K, 18K, 19K white, yellow and rose) as well as platinum. We source both lab grown and natural mined Diamonds and fine gemstones in Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald.
*We do not source or work with Moissanite, Morganite, Opal, Salt & Pepper Diamonds or any semiprecious or lab grown gemstones. We also do not build rings with alternative materials such as Tungsten, Titanium, Steel or Silver.

Do you re-design heirloom pieces?
We are not currently accepting any third party repairs, re-designs or heirloom projects at this time. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our team at info@fawcetts.ca.
Appointments
What can I expect during my appointment?
During your appointment, you are welcome to try on any rings you’d like. Following your initial consultation on what you’re seeking, we’ll present our current collection of loose Gemstones and Diamonds available, as well as any finished pieces and ring styles similar to what you’re looking for. From there, we will begin building out your custom project within the budget discussed.
You’re free to ask any questions along the way, and if you haven’t made a decision by the end of your appointment, you’re welcome to book a follow-up at a later date.
How many people can come to my appointment?
A friend’s advice is priceless, however, we do ask that only one person accompany you during your appointment. If you’d like to request a larger group to join you, please give us a heads up and we will do our best to accommodate.
Sizing & Product Care
How do I figure out my partner’s ring size?
During your in-store appointment, your finger size will be measured and recorded in your customer profile. If you are trying to find out your partner’s ring size without them knowing, you can always bring in a ring of theirs for us to measure. Alternatively, any ballpark to get a custom piece started is wise. We do offer complimentary first time ring resizing on our engagement rings.
Ring Resizing
A ring resize is estimated to complete within 10-14 business days, we will also polish and clean your piece before pick up.
General Care & Maintenance
GENERAL CARE
A simple first step is to not wear your rings, earrings, necklaces or bracelets during any high intensity activity. Generally speaking, the faster you’re moving or the more you’re sweating, the higher the chances your piece could get caught on something. If you’re about to go rock climbing, hiking, to the gym, skiing, snowboarding, any/all water sports or moving/lifting any heavy objects, it’s best to take your rings and things off.
Store your pieces somewhere safe where they wont knock against other hard metals or surfaces, either at home or in a small soft bag close by if you’re on the go.
CLEAN THEM AT HOME
Keep up with quick cleanings at home as often as you like, all you need is a soft bristle toothbrush, some warm water and detergent free dish soap.
Soak your rings in hot water with dish soap (approximately ½ tsp), let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Pull your ring out of the water, gently and mindfully brush around the centre stone, setting and band to loosen up any grime or grease. Pop it back in the water for another 10-15 minutes, rinse and dry off with a paper towel, then polish with a cloth to finish. Boom, back to brilliance!
Warranty & Insurance
Warranty Policy & Third Party Insurance
The first ring resize is complimentary on engagement rings, as well as one general maintenance check which includes ensuring all stones and prongs are set and secure.
We do not provide insurance through Fawcett’s, however we do provide an appraisal with the rings we produce so that you may register it with your current insurance provider. We highly recommend having your insured in case of loss or damage.
